Amazing Spider-Boy 129

Heh... Okay, THIS is gonna take some set-up.....

If you watch Best Friends Play, their Punisher LP led to the creation of a version of the Punisher that was a Japanese teenage girl named Pun-Pun Kill-Chan. She's been the focus of a ton of art for them, and we naturally had to try something out with her. She made a cameo in the comics, but naturally we wound up drawing a picture where she's babysitting eight-year-old Peter Parker. Because of course!

This is starting to paint some weird pictures for this Spider-Boy AU we've kinda-sorta-notreally building. Apparently The Hippo is a major threat because of course he is; hippos are a million times more dangerous than Rhinos or Octopi.

For you hard-core comic nerds, you might realize this is a half-assed attempt to re-create the cover for Spider-Man 129, the first Punisher appearence. The positioning of the two characters, the yellow wall directly behind them, the way Peter is upside-down, the perfectly-round window behind him, all are callbacks to that cover.

As we said, Pun-Pun had a cameo in , and now I almost want her to turn up and fight the kids in .

Martin's Comments: Yeah, this is pretty much all built around an in-joke. Really forgot how this came together but either way, pretty happy with the end result of it. Definitely should do more with Peter and I'd also be down with making Pun-Pun a bit more of a regular thing we work with, though dunno how likely that really is.

I dunno what else I've got but hopefully everyone enjoys. We decided to have this one jump the line a bit to tie into Infinity War being out - we both saw it last night, enjoyed it quite a bit.
