Any volunteers for the experimental group?

Yeah, this one was a lot of fun. ^^ This was one of a series of doodles we did a week ago for Martin's birthday (Huh, a week today), the idea just Tedd from El Goonish Shive looking all smug and intelligent in spite of reading a book upside down. Kinda expanded it from that with the dialog, and think it adds a lot to the picture. The fact that the proposed experiment has nothing to do with physics makes it even funnier.

The background was done by our birthday boy, hence why it's so much more detailed than normal. ^^ Let's see what his thoughts are....

Oh, right, and I graduated from college the day before yesterday. Just realized I meant to put a journal up about that. Ah, well.

Martin's Comments: Heh, lot of big events happening around this time actually. Adam's ten year anniversary of being on DA is on Thursday, and we'll be doing something in honor of that.
    
So yeah, think Adam pretty well summed this one up. This and another one of those birthday pics - which I really want to go back and tweak actually, have some issues with how some parts of the coloring came out - have a bit more complex of backgrounds than usual since I handled them and I'm a bit more eager to sink time into those. Though it's something you can probably expect us to slowly start playing around with more moving forward, sort of a step in the art we've been wanting to take.
    
So yeah, not sure what I've got to say on the content of the pic when you get past the specifics of the art. Guess one thing that can be said about it is that I've not read EGS in ages - just was turned off by every little thing it was doing, and from what I've heard mostly from Adam it's just gotten worse and worse since I stopped. Still, I find characters and concepts from it fun and so I was plenty open to doing stuff with it for the occasion. We've done some stray pictures of Tedd before as well as some other characters from the series.
    
Though speaking of webcomics, the current Black Princess chapter was kind of conceived as being a way to be sort of a mass Misfile tribute, with a bunch of references to the comic being present somewhere or other throughout though we're only two pages in as it stands so not a lot of them yet.
